What is Udyam Aadhaar?
Udyam Aadhaar earlier known as Udyog Aadhaar. Udyam Aadhaar is a twelve-digit unique identification number provided by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of the Government of India to small and medium-sized businesses in India. It was launched in July 1, 2020 to simplify the registration process for MSMEs and promote ease of doing business in India. The Enterprise Registration Certificate confirms that the enterprise is entitled to receive government benefits allocated to MSMEs.

Eligibility for Udyam Registration
Micro Enterprise : An enterprise where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed ₹1 crore and the turnover does not exceed ₹5 crore.
Small Enterprise : An enterprise where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed ₹10 crore and the turnover does not exceed ₹50 crore.
Medium Enterprise : An enterprise where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed ₹50 crore and the turnover does not exceed ₹250 crore.
